“Real Generosity”

In Week 4 of The Real Thing, Pastor Tom unpacks Real Generosity from Luke 12, where Jesus warns that life doesn’t consist in the abundance of possessions and tells a sobering parable of a man who stored up more and more—but wasn’t “rich toward God.” This message challenges the way money, wealth, and valuables can quietly replace God as our source of security and identity, and calls us to be mindful, on guard against greed, and generous. But generosity isn’t just dollars—it’s our time, effort, attention, and money, given freely rather than transactionally. God isn’t a vending machine, and neither are people or the church; real generosity is driven by a real relationship.
