“Real Relationship with God”

In Week 2 of The Real Thing, we hear Jesus’ words from John 14 and confront a deeper question: is God our friend—or just an acquaintance? Jesus tells us plainly, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father,” reminding us that the way to truly know God is to know Jesus. This message challenges us to move beyond a Sunday-only, break-glass-in-case-of-emergency faith and toward a real, everyday relationship with God. Like any authentic friendship, a relationship with God is built through time, trust, communication, and shared life.
